WELCOME TO MY WORLD: GAOI KIA TE KOUTOU!THERES NO PLACE LIKE HOME! May 29 1000 Ways to DieI was watching this TV show called "1000 ways to Die," and I was amazed at how death finds people in matter of seconds! My neighborhood got hit by a tornado, but the funny thing is that I didn't even know it got hit! I was amazed when I drove down the road and saw part of our town completed gone! it destroyed by a tornado in a matter of seconds. It just hit me that death was just down the road.
I've survived three cyclone 79 as a baby, 1986, and worst-1993. But I have never experienced the destructive force of a tornado. I just hope that none will hit our town till I leave this place because I am not ready for it.
*sad* June 06 Sea World: San Antonio TexasSan Antonio is a melting pot. Very hot and very busy. The Sea World is
one of the most attraction centers in San Antonio, Texas. We arrived at
the SW at going up to 12 noon, 6/3/2006. The place is already packed so
we parked the car a block away from the entrance, and since we bought
out ticket online, we managed to sneaked in through busy lines to the
admission area and passed through gates pretty fast. The first stop was
at the Dolphin area where kids fed the dophins. Second stop at the
Water-Ride. People went nuts in the water. Second stop was skiing, then
the Shamu show: The killer whale show was the highlight of the day, it
was very nice and entertaining. From there we proceeded to the Texas
splash ride, then to the Sea-Lion show. Then the nerve-racking ride at
9pm. Ascending to the top of the ride and seeing Colorful San Antonio
is one of the best scene ever. It's a trip I will never forget. June 04 Austin: MuseumThe trip to the museum wasn't all that bad. Outside the Museum was some
kind of private party by some rich freaks, but the exhibition area was
still open. Inside are remains of historical pieces of the Americas and
its colonization, from the Spanish conquest to British colonization to
the US revolution. But dominant of all the exhibitions are remains of
men and women who made Texas a historical icon in US & Mexican
history. The paradox, however, is the depiction of both cultures, the
Western and the Natives by this museum: it all depends on who tell the
story. The Museum has three floors and no cameras allowed. I snapped one picture inside and a cop approached me and told me not to so voluntarily deleted it. The history exhibitied here is pretty much connected to the Alamos I visited previously. It was a nice place to study US-Texas history. When we ready to leave, a bike ceremony took place and almost all exit were sealed off. we had to navigate our way almost around the whole city to take the exit home. June 01 Alamo: San AntonioWednesday 30 Texas is one of the best destinations in US, filled with history and different cultures. My first visit was Alamo where Izzy, Tee and I visited the museum of one of the famous battles in US and Mexico history. The compound is still maintained although most of the old buildings were torn down for development purposes. All 200+ Americans, Brits, Europeans, Native Americans, and Mexicans defending this city fought their way against Mexican 6,000 soldiers on the outskirt of the walls of the Alamo, to their bedrooms, and in the chapel. They defended this walls to the last man, and today this piece of land is now respected a hallowed ground. A touching history and a living memory to those who spilled their blood within these walls in the name of Freedom. May 26 Da Vinci Code: Starring Tom Hank. Ban in SIDo people really know what they're talking about when they write
something about Solomon Islands? this article pokes fun of the fact
that SI has no cinema yet banning Da Vinci Code. Solomon Islands has,
in town, a cinema, and a wider range of pirated DVD and VCD from Asia.
Da Vinci Code could be sold in SI for $50.00 in the shops. Plus, who
the heck is writing this articles anyway? This movie is just full of bull crap and shouldn't be allowed in SI or any country with strong Christian values. Link: DA VINCI CODE BANNED IN SOLOMON ISLANDS. |
